Worlds 2025: Champions collide, legends rise, glory awaits all

The League of Legends World Championship 2025 begins on October 14 in China, where 17 elite teams will clash across the Play-In, Swiss, and Knockout stages before the grand final on November 9. Worlds remains the pinnacle of LoL esports, and this year’s qualified line-up is packed with regional champions, veterans, and rising challengers hungry for glory.

From the LCK, Gen.G enters as a clear favorite after winning MSI earlier this year, joined by KT Rolster and Hanwha Life Esports following their deep playoff runs. T1, led by legendary mid-laner Faker, claimed Korea’s final ticket with a dramatic victory over Dplus KIA. Meanwhile, host region China will field four squads: Bilibili Gaming (BLG), who secured their slot via Split 3 dominance, alongside Top Esports and Invictus Gaming from the LPL Regional Finals. With a roaring home crowd behind them, LPL’s representatives are considered major title threats.

In Europe, G2 Esports, Movistar KOI, and Fnatic will carry the LEC’s hopes, while the Americas send FlyQuest, Vivo Keyd Stars, and 100 Thieves. Finally, the Asia-Pacific region is represented by CTBC Flying Oyster, PSG Talon, and Team Secret Whales. With every region bringing unique styles and storylines, Worlds 2025 promises one of the most competitive tournaments in history.
