MPL ID Season 15 breaks records, with RRQ Hoshi dominating

MPL Indonesia Season 15 has reached a new peak, exceeding 1.8 million concurrent viewers during the RRQ Hoshi vs. Alter Ego match in week three. This surpasses previous records, solidifying MPL ID as one of the most-watched esports leagues globally. The league now closely trails the LCK Cup 2025 and could claim the top spot by April.

RRQ Hoshi remains undefeated with a 5-0 record, dominating the standings. Their roster was named "Team of the Week," with Said 'idok' Ridho securing MVP for the second consecutive week and Muhammad 'Toyy' Rizky earning Best Rookie. The team’s popularity continues to drive record-breaking engagement, as all three of the most-watched matches this season have featured RRQ.

Meanwhile, newcomers Natus Vincere (NAVI) struggle to find their rhythm, remaining winless so far. Their debut generated buzz, but their performance has yet to match expectations.

A major factor in MPL ID’s viewership growth is TikTok’s increasing influence, with a 71% surge in peak audience engagement. As the league enters a three-week break, anticipation builds for the second half, where RRQ’s dominance and the battle for the top spot promise more excitement and potential new records.
